The Goof- Proof Guide to Actually Stick to Your New Year's Resolutions

Most of us love to make a list of plans and resolutions for the new year and we get excited with the idea of actually making all of them happen.
Usually, in the first months, everyone is excited about their goals and giving 1000% in order to achieve them. However, time passes by and after the first six months of the year, people tend to lose motivation and energy and don’t complete their goals.
Since we love to encourage you to become the best version of yourself, we want to share with you some tips and ideas so you can actually stick to your resolutions and achieve all your goals and plans for 2020.
  • Write it down!
  • It is said that once you write things down, its automatically a commitment for you. Make a list or keep it in your journal. Place them somewhere visible like your fridge, your vanity, a mirror or your desk, so it can be a daily reminder of where you are and where you want to be at the end of the year.
  • Make a vision board
  • We strongly believe in the power of visualization and we want to encourage you to believe it too. Vision boards are really helpful tools and of course, it's really fun crafts project towards manifestation.  All you need are some photos, magazines, markers, a corkboard and a lot of inspiration!
If you want to make this a fun experience, why don’t you invite your best friends to your place and host a “Vision Board Party”? Besides having some quality time with them, you’ll encourage each other to pursue your dreams and goals.
  • Check your list every 3 months
  • Set a reminder on your phone or calendar, so every three months you can take some time to check yourself and check if you’re going in the right direction towards your plans and goals. The reason we say every three months is because it’s enough time to see progress and changes in any aspect of your life and put yourself in the right direction.
  • Have an Accountability Partner
  • Surround yourself with people that also want to become a better version of themselves and encourage each other to succeed with your goals and plans for the next year. Make together a plan of sending reminders, quotes or texts individually or through an iMessage or WhatsApp group asking  “how are you doing with X, Y, Z project?”. It will be helpful for you and for them.

  • Reward Yourself for Every Small Achievement
  • In order to stay motivated, every time you get a step closer to your goal, give yourself a little treat or reward, like your favorite dessert, a makeup product you’ve been dying to try or dinner in your favorite restaurant. All those small actions will keep you motivated and with the mindset of working hard in order to treat yourself without any guilt.

We hope these tips will put you in the right direction to achieve your goals. Believe in the power of manifestation. Do your part and watch the universe conspire things in your favor. We're cheering for you!
