We’re really close to 2020 and this year, the excitement is even more, since we’re starting a new decade.
To a lot of people, this seems like the perfect opportunity to start working on a better version of themselves. To do so, starting with the right motivation for the next 10 years is key. We believe that every year is the perfect opportunity to start over and have 365 days for yourself, your dreams and your plans. But if you want to improve and have space for new things coming into your life, you have to let go fo the old, and on today’s post, we’ll share with you 5 things you need to let go in order to make 2020 the best year of your life.
1. Other People’s Expectations
Your mom, your dad, your partner, your friends...they’ll always have opinions and thoughts about your life but, you are the only one that can be in charge of it. As much as you love them, you need to start living on your own terms and doing what makes YOU happy.
Have you heard that comparison kills joy? Well, it’s true! Whenever we compare ourselves to others, we end up feeling bad about who we are. We feel bad about where we are in our lives and what we’ve achieved. Sisters, please stop staring at your phone and checking Instagram and Facebook and wondering why you’re not there yet or why you’re single, and start doing YOU. It’s easier said than done, however, it is good practice for all of us.

If things didn’t work out it was for a reason. So, instead of going back to that person and begging for their love and approval, start walking away and realize that you deserve better. You deserve someone that loves you and cherishes you, not someone that once rejected you.
We all have our own timelines. I'm going to be this age and have accomplished this or by this age, I'm going to do this, etc. Graduating at 23, having the perfect job at 25, babies at 30, etc. Unfortunately, life doesn’t work that way and most of the time, your “ideal time” isn’t the course your life takes. If you want to live a stress-free life, you have to let go of the perfect timeline and start trusting the time of your life. At the perfect moment or timing, you’ll have everything that is meant to be even if it’s not at the age you originally planned.
5. Fear of Change
Changes are always scary, however, if you want to live your best life, you have to be able to use that fear as the fuel you’ll need in order to face the changes and curveballs that life throws you away. It’s not easy, but once you face your fears, you unlock the next level of your potential and your life. You become wiser, stronger, happier and more satisfied with everything around you.
