3 Self-Care Rituals You Need to Do ASAP

Let’s make 2020 a year dedicated to self-care and self-love and becoming a better version of ourselves! This is the year to start making the habit of taking care of yourself a priority and something that you can look forward to after a long day of work, school or running your business.

When we talk about self-care, we don’t mean you have to go to a spa or to an exotic trip to Bora Bora in order to be relaxed (unless your budget allows you to!). Instead, we talk about little rituals you can do at home that will make a big difference in how you feel and how you look.

Check out these three rituals, that we guarantee will make a big difference in your life:

1- Facemask time!

These days, you can get a facial that will make your skin glow from home! There are a lot of beauty brands that have sheet-masks, which are easy to use and do wonders for your skin and your face.

Once a week, we recommend you to take 20 minutes for yourself and your skincare routine. You don’t have to spend a lot of money. Ther are even some facemasks you can do with what you have on your fridge, like eggs, oatmeal, lemon, honey, and brown sugar.

There’s no excuse and it only takes 20 minutes of your week.

2- Call your bestie

Do you know how therapeutic is to talk with your best friend or any loved one for that matter? It does wonders for your mood! If you’re having a rough day, you feel frustrated or you just want to distract your mind, grab your phone and do it like the old times and call him or her. It doesn’t have to be a long talk, with 10 minutes or less, we guarantee you’ll be in a better mood and get a positive perspective about whatever situation you’re in.

3- Sweat

We know after a long day of work, the least you want to do is put your gym clothes on and working out. However, it does wonders for your body, your health, and your mind. You don’t have to run 5K or do an intense HIIT workout but, you can do a quick 15-minute workout from youtube or do simple stuff like walking your dog or walking around the block with your roommate, your partner or your kids. You’ll end up feeling better and you'll sleep better too!

As you see, small actions can make big improvements in how you feel and your health over-all! What do you do to take care of yourself?
